The Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners (LSBPSE)
The LSBPSE is the state regulatory body for the private contract security industry in Louisiana which provides industry licensure, registration, education, investigations, and compliance oversight.
The board members and agency staff take great pride in working to make the industry principled and consistent while maintaining strict adherence to the statutory regulations we are tasked with upholding.
We attempt to be transparent and equitable in all of our dealings and urge industry workers and leaders to reach out to us for clarity with any issues.
In 2021, the agency took a step forward in ensuring statewide compliance as the Board voted to create a Field Compliance Inspector division, that will be under the supervision of the Compliance and Investigations Section. Field Compliance Inspectors conduct checks, investigations, and compliance inspections in the field based on possible issues agency staff notes in their daily work or on tips sent or called in.
We encourage everyone, industry-based or the public, to notify us if they see compliance or safety issues with security guards they encounter. Tips can be anonymous and all tips will be investigated fairly and with due diligence. Call (225) 272-2310 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If there is anything you need help with, do not hesitate to contact us. Agency staff are always ready and willing to help you with any questions, issues, or concerns you may have.
