Per the Board, online training through SORT Louisiana will no longer be accepted if taken after Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
Any training that is taken online through SORT Louisiana after this date is not valid and will not be accepted by the agency.
There is no online training accepted by the Board. All training must be done in a classroom by a licensed instructor. If you take your training online you will be required to retake it in a classroom and pay any accompanying fees before you can be licensed (company owners/instructors) or registered (security guards). The Board can not reimburse any money paid to SORT Louisiana.
Use the list of Licensed Classroom Instructors to schedule your training.
If you have any questions, please contact the office at (225) 272-2310.
SORT Louisiana is NOT affiliated with LSBPSE or the State of Louisiana
Although the SORT Louisiana website is still online and appears to still be taking payments and allowing people to sign up for training, please be advised that SORT Louisiana is not in any way affiliated with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners.
Do not sign up for online training through SORT Louisiana because any training completed or certificates generated after Tuesday, September 28, 2021 will not be accepted or recognized as valid by LSBPSE.
Prior Online Training Only Valid Until Renewal
Per the Board, any online training taken through SORT Louisiana is only valid until it is time for the guard to renew. At the time of a guard’s renewal, they will need to retake training with a classroom instructor.
Online training through SORT Louisiana was never approved by the Board and will, therefore, not be considered valid. The Board is allowing those who already have online training to use it until it is time for them to renew their registration.
