Visit the LSBPSE eLicensure Portal at lsbpselicense.com where Security Officers, Managers, Qualifying Agents, and Company Owners apply for, manage, and receive their respective licenses and registrations.
Please note – in Louisiana, security guards are not licensed. They are registered to work for licensed security companies that have been vetted and licensed through this regulatory agency. A security guard who is not actively employed and working for a licensed security company cannot work in the state of Louisiana.
If this is your first time visiting the portal:
Click “FORGOT – USERNAME” and, then, enter your date of birth, social security number, and last name. This will either locate your existing eLicensure profile or let you know that a profile does not exist. If one does not, you will be allowed to create an account and set up your profile.
You must have a valid email address to receive your login information.
Once you are in your account:
Choose the application you want to apply for.
Make sure to choose the correct application:
- If you are applying for the first time to work with a company, choose the Initial Application & Company Affiliation (blue form) application.
- If you are renewing your registration with your current employer, choose the Renewal Application & Company Affiliation (green form) application.
- If you are applying for temporary registration to work an event in this state, such as disaster relief, choose the Event Temp Registration application.
If you are looking for Company License Application Packages, please contact the Company & Instructor License Section at (225) 272-2310, ext. 223 or via email. Once it has been verified by the section that your company meets the proper requirements to be licensed, the application package will be pushed to your account in the portal.
