Head on over to the eLicensure Public Portal of the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners.  This is where Security Officers, Managers, Qualifying Agents and Company Owners apply for, manage and receive their respective licenses and registrations.

If this is your first time visiting the new licensure portal CLICK “FORGOT USERNAME.  This will take you to a screen where you will enter your DOB, SSN and LAST NAME.  Doing so will locate your existing eLicensure profile or it will alert you that you do not currently have a profile set up at this time.  You will be allowed to create an account if you do not have one.  You MUST HAVE a valid email address to receive your login information.

DO NOT hit “APPLY” on any of the applications listed if you are already a working security officer who is affiliated with a company.  Simply call or email the Board to let us know that you have established or claimed your eLicensure account (meaning you have successfully logged in and have verified your personal information) and we will administratively connect you and your profile to your company (employer) of record.

    I’m all for paperless and progress, however, people like me often fall through the cracks, as of this moment
    The site won’t let me log on using the info it emailed me, Neither will it let me create a new account, nor will it let me use the ‘ forgot password’ button. Aargh!

  2. I’m trying to register to the web site and it keeps asking me for one valve for race it won’t let me finish

  3. If I can make a suggestion – it would be nice to get some type of training or conference call going over the basics. For example, I have a new employee starting today and I have no clue of the process. The only information I’m certain on right now is how to create an account.

    • We advertised and conducted 26 training sessions and have done 10 since implementation; training over 300 individuals on the system. We are happy to assist you. Call 225-931-2561.

  6. Thanks Fabian, I got frustrated for a moment with trying to work the system. I stepped and way and returned and it worked like a charm. Now I need to connect to the company. Lawrence will call today (Wednesday 8-15-2018) with the information. I (Purnella Simmons) will be at work.

  7. Evening: the Agency I’m under some how I accidentally forgot to do my renewal…the Agency notified me of the fine(s)….what is the amount of the fine(s) for renewal for an S/O that’s under a Agency.

  8. I want to start a company and want to know has the does the company owner need to take the examination and what is the difference of a qualifying agent? Should I be a qualifying agent first.

  9. How do guards apply for another security company? The only applications the guard can select is the company their present employer.

    • Incorrect! You may apply with any other company once your pending application has been denied, withdrawn or issued. Then you can do another Blue App in the portal and choose another company.
